Publication
HLCONF offers several publication routes, each with its own conditions: the Abstract Book, the Conference Proceedings, journal opportunities, and the opportunity to develop your research into a monograph or academic book.
- Supported by a Scientific Committee committed to academic quality and credibility.
- Double-blind peer review · iThenticate screened
- ISBN Abstract Book · Proceedings with ISSN & DOI
Four Levels of Publication
Conference Abstract Book (ISBN)
All accepted and registered abstracts are published in the official Conference Abstract Book, which carries an ISBN. The Abstract Book is available during the conference.
Publishing only your abstract is entirely acceptable. You are not required to submit a full paper, and choosing not to has no effect on your presentation or on your abstract's inclusion.
Conference Proceedings (ISSN and DOI)
Full papers that pass double-blind peer review are published in the official Conference Proceedings, unless the authors ask otherwise.
- The Proceedings carry an International Standard Serial Number (ISSN).
- Each paper receives a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered with Crossref, so it remains permanently accessible and easy to cite.
- Papers are published open access under CC BY 4.0 and made available for discovery through Google Scholar.
Conditions: the full paper follows the Author Guidelines, is original and unpublished, belongs to an accepted and registered abstract, and passes double-blind peer review.
Journal Opportunities
Participants whose accepted and registered abstracts appear in the Conference Abstract Book may have the opportunity to submit their full papers for consideration by partner journals indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ and other recognised academic databases.
Where such opportunities are available, details are shared with eligible registered participants after the conference.
- On request, authors receive guidance on how to submit their work to suitable journals.
- Journals apply their own review and may request revisions.
- Journal editors make all final decisions independently of the conference.
Monograph / Academic Book Opportunity
In addition to the abstract, proceedings and journal routes, participants may have the opportunity to develop their research into a monograph or academic book.
What this opportunity offers
- Manuscripts submitted for book publication undergo a peer-review process to assess academic quality and relevance.
- Books accepted for publication are assigned an ISBN and a DOI, giving a permanent and citable academic record.
- A monograph or academic book allows you to explore your research in greater depth and detail than a standard journal article.
Benefits
- Present your research as a comprehensive scholarly work and strengthen your academic profile.
- Reach a broader academic audience, including researchers, academics, students and practitioners.
- Expand your publication record in support of future research, promotion and career opportunities.
Conditions: this route is subject to editorial assessment and available capacity. Expressing interest does not guarantee publication, and final decisions follow peer review and rest with the publisher.

Publication Ethics
HLCONF follows a strict anti-plagiarism policy. Every submission is checked with Crossref Similarity Check (powered by iThenticate) before review. Work found to contain plagiarism is rejected.
About Crossref Similarity CheckGenerative AI may be used in manuscript writing only to improve the language and readability of the authors' own text, and that use must be disclosed. Authors remain fully responsible for their content. Applicable AI-use declarations are kept with the submitted version and accompany the published work where required. Similarity screening checks for overlapping text; it is not used as a verdict on AI authorship.
Generative AI Author PolicyIndexing and Visibility
Each paper published in the proceedings is registered with Crossref and receives its own DOI, so it can be cited and found through a permanent link. The proceedings are indexed in Google Scholar, and applications may be made to further services such as the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Inclusion in any index or service is decided by that service and is not guaranteed.
Publication Timeline
| Stage | Timing |
|---|---|
| Abstract Book | Prepared after registration closes; distributed to registered participants around the conference dates |
| Proceedings publication | Following completion of review and DOI registration |
| Journal opportunities list | Within 2 weeks after the conference |
A full paper can be sent with your abstract or later. If you have already submitted your abstract, use the link in your original confirmation email or follow the instructions in Help & Support. The full-paper deadline, a few weeks after the conference, is separate from the abstract deadline.
From abstract to DOI
Every accepted abstract appears in the Abstract Book with an ISBN. Full papers submitted after the conference are peer reviewed for the Proceedings, with an ISSN, a Crossref DOI, and Google Scholar indexing.
