The International Conference on Higher Education and Lifelong Learning (HLCONF) invites researchers, educators, doctoral students and policymakers to submit abstracts for presentation in Paris on 10–12 June 2027.

This call for papers in higher education and lifelong learning is open to empirical, theoretical, methodological and practice-based work. Studies of teaching and assessment, institutional policy, digital learning, adult and continuing education, access and inclusion, and the links between education and work are all within scope. Comparative and interdisciplinary research is especially welcome.

Submissions must be original, unpublished and not under review elsewhere. Higher education abstract submission takes place through the online form: send an abstract of 200–250 words with three to five keywords. There is no fee to submit. A full paper is optional; you can send it with your abstract or later, before the full-paper deadline, a few weeks after the conference.

Each abstract is screened for similarity and evaluated through double-blind peer review. You will receive the decision by email within 7–14 business days of submission. Accepted authors then register to confirm their participation and presentation.

Choose the format that suits your work: an oral or poster presentation in Paris, or a live virtual presentation. If you would like to attend without presenting, you can register as a listener.

After Acceptance

Once you register, your accepted abstract is published in the Conference Abstract Book with an ISBN. If you also submit a full paper that passes double-blind peer review, it is published open access in the Conference Proceedings with an ISSN, and the paper receives a DOI. Selected full papers may be considered for publication opportunities in Scopus-indexed journals; final acceptance depends on paper quality and the decision of journal editors.

Submitting only an abstract does not affect your presentation or your abstract's inclusion in the Abstract Book.
